Greig to have NHL Player Safety hearing for actions in Senators game

Ridly Greig will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday.

The Ottawa Senators forward is facing discipline for cross-checking Winnipeg Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois

The incident occurred at 10:31 of the second period of the Senators’ 3-2 preseason overtime win against the Jets at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg on Sunday. Greig received a major penalty for cross-checking and a game misconduct. Dubois left the game but returned for the third period.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: cross-checking. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
