ST. LOUIS — The Chicago Blackhawks set their record for most consecutive games without a win to begin a season at nine with a 1-0 loss to the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center on Saturday.

The Blackhawks (0-7-2) were winless through eight games in 1953-54, when they were 0-7-1 (tie); and 1999-00, when they were 0-4-4 (ties).

Torey Krug scored, and Jordan Binnington made 25 saves for the Blues (6-1-0).

Marc-Andre Fleury made 36 saves for the Blackhawks.

Krug scored a power-play goal at 7:25 of the third, a shot from the right circle that caromed off Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones and changed direction past Fleury for a 1-0 lead.
