Jacob Trouba will be out 4-6 weeks for the New York Rangers because of an upper-body injury.
The defenseman did not play in the third period of a 5-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday. He had an assist, four shots on goal, and blocked four shots in 13:11 of ice time.
Trouba has three assists in 14 games this season. He is second on the Rangers in ice time per game (21:40) behind Adam Fox (24:56).
Trouba, who signed a seven-year contract with the Rangers on July 19, 2019, scored 27 points (seven goals, 20 assists) in 70 games last season.
