Eeli Tolvanen signed a three-year, $4.35 million contract with the Nashville Predators on Monday. It has an average annual value of $1.45 million.
The 22-year-old forward was a restricted free agent. He scored 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists) in 40 regular-season games for Nashville but was held without a point in four Stanley Cup Playoff games last season.
Tolvanen led the Predators with six power-play goals, tied for second among NHL rookies with Josh Norris of the Ottawa Senators, two behind Kirill Kaprizov of the Minnesota Wild.
Selected in the first round (No. 30) of the 2017 NHL Draft, Tolvanen has scored 24 points (12 goals, 12 assists) in 47 regular-season NHL games.
