Islanders 3, Flyers 0: Anders Lee scored in his first game since March 11 for the New York Islanders, a 3-0 preseason win against the Philadelphia Flyers at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Tuesday.

Lee, who missed the final two months of the regular season and the entire 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs because of a knee injury, gave the Islanders a 2-0 lead at 19:05 of the first period.

“It felt good to be out there,” he said. “Nice to get on the ice and be with the boys. I think it wasn’t the prettiest of games overall. I think it was kind of a sloppy game, but it felt good at times and we continue to build on this.

“I wasn’t really nervous about the knee or anything like that. I knew it’s in a good spot, it’s in a good place. We’ve come a long way. Honestly, it’s just getting reps in a game, just like any other preseason, getting ready for the year.”

Lee skated on their top forward line with Mathew Barzal and Kyle Palmieri.

Cory Schneider made 24 saves for the shutout, and Anthony Beauvillier and Josh Bailey scored power-play goals for New York.

Martin Jones made 28 saves for Philadelphia.

Panthers 3, Lightning 2: Owen Tippett scored twice for the Florida Panthers in a 3-2 preseason win against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, on Tuesday.
