Riley Nash will be out 4-6 weeks for the Columbus Blue Jackets with a knee sprain.
The forward was injured in the second period of a 3-0 loss to the Florida Panthers on Sunday and was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, retroactive to Sunday.
Nash has scored seven points (two goals, five assists) in 37 games this season. He can become an unrestricted free agent after the season.
The Blue Jackets (14-18-8) host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday (7 p.m. ET; BSOH, BSFL, NHL.TV). Columbus is five points behind the Nashville Predators for the fourth and final Stanley Cup Playoff spot in the eight-team Discover Central Division.
