Zack MacEwen will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Friday.
The Vancouver Canucks forward is facing discipline for kneeing Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse.
The incident occurred 10:55 into the second period of Vancouver’s 6-3 win at Rogers Place on Thursday. MacEwen was given a double minor penalty for high-sticking at 10:59.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: kneeing. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
