PHILADELPHIA — Scott Laughton scored at 3:16 of overtime to give the Philadelphia Flyers a 3-2 win against the New York Islanders at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday.
Jakub Voracek and Kevin Hayes scored for the Flyers (6-2-1), who have won three in a row. Carter Hart made 26 saves.
Jordan Eberle and Scott Mayfield scored for the Islanders (3-4-1), who are 0-3-1 in their past four games. Semyon Varlamov made 15 saves.
The teams will play here again Sunday.
Voracek gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead at 3:38 of the first period when he scored off Claude Giroux‘s centering pass. The goal extended Voracek’s point streak to six games (two goals, six assists).
Hayes made it 2-0 at 13:55 of the first.
Eberle scored to make it 2-1 at 7:31 of the second period, and Mayfield tied it 2-2 from the right circle at 11:46.
New York outshot Philadelphia 11-4 in the third period.
