Gabriel Landeskog will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Thursday.
The Colorado Avalanche forward is facing discipline for boarding Chicago Blackhawks center Kirby Dach.
The incident occurred at 16:23 of the third period in the Avalanche’s 4-2 win at Ball Arena in Denver on Wednesday. Landeskog received a minor penalty for boarding at 16:26. Dach remained in the game. Landeskog and Blackhawks forward Tyler Johnson each received a roughing penalty for an altercation after the hit.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: boarding. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
