The actor is most famously known for his Emmy-winning role as Don Draper on the television series “Mad Men.” He also been in many films, including “Space Cowboys” with Clint Eastwood and Tommy Lee Jones.

Hamm is a St. Louis native and lifelong fan of the St. Louis Blues. He tells Millard he has several pictures of himself with the Stanley Cup after the Blues won their first championship in 2019. St. Louis defeated the Boston Bruins in the Cup Final in seven games.

“I was actually in Canada, in Vancouver shooting some commercials [when the Blues won], so I watched it on TV,” Hamm said. “But I flew right back to St. Louis and went to the parade and they let me hoist it and drink out of it and the whole deal. It was pretty fun.”

Hamm also discusses his appreciation for Blues goalie Jordan Binnington, who helped St. Louis win the Cup and was rewarded with a six-year, $36 million contract March 11.

“You root for a guy like ‘Binner,'” Hamm said. “When he gets a contract like that, at that stage in his career … his story’s amazing. He deserves it. He works so hard.”
