WINNIPEG — Pierre-Luc Dubois scored two goals, and the Winnipeg Jets hung on for a 4-3 win against the Ottawa Senators at Bell MTS Place on Monday.
Nikolaj Ehlers and Andrew Copp each had two assists for the Jets (23-13-3), and Connor Hellebuyck made 20 saves.
Connor Brown and Ryan Dzingel each had a goal and an assist for the Senators (13-22-4). Anton Forsberg made 42 saves.
Dubois gave Winnipeg a 1-0 lead on a snap shot from the right circle at 2:10 of the first period.
Adam Lowry scored with a wrist shot from the left circle to make it 2-0 at 4:19 of the second, but Dzingel cut it 2-1 near the right goal post 29 seconds later to make it 2-1 at 4:48.
Dubois one-timed Copp’s feed for a power-play goal at 8:38 of the second to give the Jets a 3-1 lead.
Kyle Connor‘s attempted pass went off the stick of Senators forward Chris Tierney and trickled past Forsberg to make it 4-1 at 16:12.
Winnipeg outshot Ottawa 22-6 in the second period.
But the Senators made a push in the third period and cut it to 4-2 when Josh Norris scored on the power play with a wrist shot from the right circle at 10:25, and Brown extended his goal streak to four games at 16:51 for the 4-3 final.
