Aleksander Barkov is not playing for the Florida Panthers against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday because of a lower-body injury.
The center began warmups at United Center but left the ice early and was a late scratch. Barkov leads Florida with 37 points (13 goals, 24 assists) in 31 games this season.
Defenseman Markus Nutivaara took Barkov’s place in the lineup, giving the Panthers 11 forwards and seven defensemen.
Barkov has scored nine points (three goals, six assists) in four games against the Blackhawks this season.
He has scored 444 points (168 goals, 276 assists) in 444 career NHL games, all with the Panthers.
